not a shop.
Dubai Carpet Gallery was founded in 2004 by a family of third-generation rug dealers from Tabriz. We opened our Al Quoz atelier to do something different from the bazaar: every piece in our gallery is personally selected, documented, and certified.
Our Story
A rug passes through many hands before it reaches yours. Shearers, spinners, dyers, weavers, master-knotters, finishers, and eventually a dealer. We believe the last of these — the dealer — has the smallest role, and yet is the one who takes the margin. We set up Dubai Carpet Gallery to invert that.
We work directly with weaving cooperatives in Iran, Türkiye, Morocco, Nepal, and India. Every piece in our gallery has a named weaver, a documented origin, and a fair chain of compensation going back to the loom.
We believe carpets are architectural — they anchor a room, soften its acoustics, and outlive the furniture around them. They deserve the same thought as the floor plan itself.
